Access Log Manager
Find out more about the Access Log Manager as well as the data that will be inside it.
An access log is a thorough list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a certain website. Every single file which was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have one webpage with 3 embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, for instance, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for every of the 6 files which were accessed when the website visitor opened the webpage. A log normally shows the file name and path, the date, along with the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Oftentimes you could also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your website. The data that an access log file includes is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a PC and used to write reports on the functionality of an Internet site, besides the web statistics your server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Website Hosting
When you purchase a website hosting from our company, you will be able to determine if access logs must be generated and for which domains or subdomains in your account this should be done. You'll be able to enable this feature from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, included with all shared accounts. Any domain you host or subdomain you set up will be listed there and you will see an On/Off option next to each one of them, so you can quickly trigger or disable the generation of access logs separately for each site that you have. You may save a log to your personal computer by clicking on the Download link that you'll see within the exact same section of the Control Panel. The link shall be available even if you deactivate the log generation, so you shall still have access to the data collected by our system.
